(Senior) Accounting Manager

Position Summary
The (Senior) Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, maintaining internal controls, and leading the monthly close process. This role also provides strategic oversight of financial reporting, develops and implements accounting policies and procedures, and plays a key role in mentoring the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including complex billing, general ledger maintenance, transaction review, and controls
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including performance evaluations and feedback
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain and reconcile amortization schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external reporting standards
- Evaluate internal controls and conduct risk assessments across key accounting areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business operations and reporting needs
- Develop and refine accounting policies, processes, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles
- Must be a technology-forward, automation-minded accounting leader
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting operations
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems and fixed asset accounting
